saltwater system
"Easy install, seems to work fine. Just wish I could select a start time (rather than just what time I start it) and was clear that the hose needed was included - I ordered a redundant hose."

Code 91 Low salt
"Check you tubes. This system fails with "code 91 low salt" very quickly, even though all electrodes are clean and salt level is correct. The first 2-3 months are typically OK. Then it fails and won't produce chlorine. Intex says to replace the electrode but it hasn't been available for over a year. And the old electrode will produce chlorine if power is applied to it. Appear to be a circuit design flaw."

Krystal Clear Saltwater System CG-26669
"I had to order a replacement for the original electorde that was under warrenty when this unit was only 4 months old. Now the replacement went out agian with the same error message of low salt 8 months later. Intex needs to fix it so this does not happen or replace my entire unit. This is becomming unacceptable to have so many issues in such a short period of time."

Only works for a few months, then won't power on
"This thing is absolute garbage. I purchased the 2019 model in March 2019. Worked fine for about 2 months and then wouldn't power on. Intex replaced the entire unit. That worked for a few more months, then same problem. Intex replaced the "control panel unit", which is basically the entire thing. Worked again for a few months, then same problem. I'm on the phone right now to file yet ANOTHER claim. Also, the "low salt" alarm never came on even though my salt got down to 50% of normal/required levels. So don't bother relying on that."

Great product - terrible service
"The first year I had the saltwater system I loved it! It made pool maintenance a breeze and everyone commented how much more pleasant it is to swim in a saltwater pool. Early in our second season the electric blew and the unit wouldn't turn on. I'm certain it was just rainwater getting into the GFI - even though it's meant for weather and we tried to protect it they aren't fool proof. I was well within warranty and called for a replacement. It was immediately approved but a week later I still had nothing and when I went to check the status it said backordered. I found this unbelievable since they were available on Intex's site as well as on Amazon. When I called customer service I was told that they wouldn't be replacing the whole unit just the power cord and that was backordered - okay so I waited another week. In that time my pool turned green and I had to purchase ~$75 of chemicals to correct it. Still I waited. Another 2 weeks or so. I called back and got the same answer but my info was supposedly given to a supervisor who would call me the next day. That didn't happen. All told, 8 weeks, probably 20 extra hours of pool maintenance, and over $200 of unnecessary chemicals later I received a new unit. Since the summer was basically over I just left in the box for a fresh start next year. In summary - this product is great and I don't consider the product failure to be a major fault. However the time and expense and lost pool time to get it replaced under warranty was unacceptable."
