In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, we are voluntarily recalling certain older above-ground pools 48-inches and taller in height that contain compression straps that run externally on the outside of the pool legs and that were primarily sold from 2002 to 2012. The compression strap maintains the structural integrity of the pool.
In addition, we are recalling a small number of the same type of above-ground pools that were sold exclusively on intexcorp.com and at Walmart between 2024 and 2025.
The recalled pools have compression straps that surround the outside of the pool legs that may create a foothold which could allow a child to gain access to the pool and create a potential drowning hazard.
Intex-brand pools 48 inches and taller sold after 2013, with compression straps equipped with leg sleeves that run on the inside of the pool legs are not included in this recall. Also, pool models of less than 48 inches are not included in this recall.
This recall only affects the following pool models, with straps running around the outside of the pool legs, sold in the US and Canada:

Intex-brand 48” and 52” Metal Frame and Ultra Frame pools sold before 2013;

234 Intex-brand 48” Prism Frame and Ultra XTR Frame pools sold online by Intex in 2024 and 2025; and
-
32 Intex-brand 48” Ultra XTR Frame pools sold by Walmart from 2/15/2025 to 3/11/2025
